The Cotswold Jeweller

We help people buy and sell fine watches with care, discretion and a personal touch, without the pressure of a showroom floor.

The Cotswold Jeweller is an independent watch sourcing and brokerage service based in Cirencester, working with clients across the UK and meeting in person by appointment only.

Whether you’re parting with a watch you’ve cherished or searching for one you’ve long admired, you deal with us directly, from the first message to the final handover.

Two ways we can help

Selling, or searching.

Every enquiry is handled personally. Tell us what you have, or what you’re looking for, and we’ll take it from there.

I.

Sell your watch

Share a few details and photographs of your watch. We’ll review everything personally and, where it’s a good fit, talk you through a route to sale, whether that’s an introduction to a buyer or brokering the sale on your behalf.

  • Photographs and details reviewed personally
  • Fees and terms agreed in writing before anything happens
  • No obligation to proceed at any stage

II.

Source a watch

Looking for a particular reference, dial or year? Tell us what you have in mind and your budget. We’ll search the market on your behalf and come back to you with what we find.

  • Any brand, model or reference considered
  • Your budget and preferences respected
  • Condition, price and terms confirmed for every watch

The details that matter

A watch tells its story in the details.

These are the things we look at closely, whether we’re helping you sell or searching on your behalf.

  • 01Dial

Originality, the condition of print and lume, and whether hands and indices belong together.

  • 02Movement

How it runs, what is known of its service history, and any parts that have been replaced.

  • 03Case

Original lines and bevels, signs of heavy polishing, and the condition of any engravings.

  • 04Bracelet

Stretch, link count, how the clasp closes, and whether it is correct for the watch.

How it works

Simple, personal and unhurried.

  1. Step 1: Share the details

Use the selling or sourcing form to tell us about the watch, with photographs if you’re selling. It takes a few minutes.

  2. Step 2: A personal review

We look over everything ourselves and come back to you, often with a few questions.

  3. Step 3: A considered proposal

For sellers, a suggested route to sale. For buyers, the options we’ve found, with condition and price set out clearly.

  4. Step 4: Agreed, then completed

Nothing proceeds until terms are agreed in writing, and you’re never obliged to go ahead.

Sending an enquiry is not a valuation, an offer or a purchase. It is simply the start of a conversation.

More on how it works

Rooted in the Cotswolds. Seen by appointment.

Cirencester · Gloucestershire

By appointment only

Personal service, in private.

There’s no shop to walk into. Instead, we meet clients privately, by appointment only, in Cirencester and across the Cotswolds, so a watch can be seen and handled properly, without a counter between us. Many conversations start by email or phone, and you choose whether and when to meet.

Discreet
Your details are used only for your enquiry, and conversations stay between us.
Unhurried
No shop floor and no pressure. You decide the pace, and whether to go ahead.
Transparent
Any fee, commission or margin is explained plainly before you commit to anything.

Have a watch in mind?

Whether you’re ready to sell, or simply curious what it might take to find a particular watch, start with a short enquiry. There’s no obligation.
